Whenever we see young adults who are so giving of their time and talents to our community, we just have to spread the word!

Take Jillian Maxwell from Benton High School for example. She's a senior and for the last three years, she's hosted a donation drive at her school called Mistlepaws... collecting donations with the goal of helping as many local animal shelters as she can. This year, both Ninna's Road to Rescue and the NWLA Humane Society will be the recipients. During the past three years, the drive became school-wide and this time, it even involves a second high school thanks to her partner in 'pups,' Nick Notts, a student at Haughton High School.

In the spirit of friendly competition between two Bossier Parish schools, Jillian and Nick want both Benton and Haughton to face-off, seeing which school can bring in more donations... with the winner getting bragging rights, a trophy and the knowledge that they've done a good thing, especially during the Christmas season! Jillian and Nick encourage participants to engage individuals, businesses and other organizations when asking for donations. May the best school win!

Jillian and Nick mentioned specific items in their video that they're looking for and their point values. Here's a list of both. Good luck!
