For as long as I can remember, there has been a spirited debate in our state over Sex Education classes.

As a parent myself, talking about the birds and the bees with my two daughters is no doubt a conversation I don't think I'll ever be quite ready for. Talking about this stuff with your children certainly seems uncomfortable, but I think everyone can agree that it's a conversation that is 100% necessary, eventually.

The debate, though, has always been over who should be responsible for sex education... The parents or the schools?

I say, "Why not both?" but that's just me.

A new survey conducted by the Louisiana Public Health Institute shows a surprising result. According to their findings, 80% of Louisiana residents believe that schools should be required to offer sex education.

What do you think? Should schools be required to offer sex ed?
