Your career, your relationships, just being alive, or maybe the fact that a wild R-rated superhero movie starring Ryan Reynolds as a mouthy mercenary became such a massive hit that we’re actually getting a sequel. (Don’t say that. Your mom will be pissed.) In keeping with the Thanksgiving holiday spirit, the first poster for Deadpool 2 has arrived, and it’s fully prepped for turkey time.

Just a couple of weeks ago, handsome actor person and omnipotent Twitter user Ryan Reynolds revealed the first official photo of Josh Brolin as Cable in Deadpool 2. With the sequel not arriving until next summer, it may be quite some time before we get another official peek at the Merc With a Mouth’s beloved foil — thankfully, there are some not so official means of getting around that little problem.

Deadpool 2’s leading man has unveiled our first official look at Josh Brolin’s Cable, whose frown remains firmly planted in the downward position, seemingly (and predictably) unimpressed with Reynolds’ signature snark. Regardless of his grouchy demeanor, Brolin does look pretty awesome as the Merc With a Mouth’s classic foil.

Josh Brolin’s Cable is, at this point, the most anticipated part of Deadpool 2, and as we have seen, he’s very game to get to get into full time-traveling cyborg warrior shape. He’s also game to have some weird-looking blue molds taken of his face, apparently, as his latest Instagram tease of his characters shows.

Josh Brolin is heading over to the X-Men universe, where he’ll go toe-to-toe with Ryan Reynolds’ Merc With a Mouth in the highly-anticipated sequel to last year’s record-breaking box-office hit.

We know that Josh Brolin is playing the extremely big bad Thanos for Avengers: Infinity War, and we’ve seen Thanos in some short scenes before, but it looks like he’ll be getting a lot more to do in the next superhero team-up movie than sitting in a very large chair. We even saw him walking around during some preliminary motion-capture tests! We also know that the heroes traditionally get some subtle costume upgrades movie to movie, so it’ll also be exciting to see if Thanos is getting a new-ish look too.

Sicario was last year’s incredible drug cartel drama by Denis Villeneuve, and, to no one’s surprise, it’s getting a sequel. Benicio Del Toro and Josh Brolin are both returning for the sequel, and now they have a female co-star in Catherine Keener, who has just signed on to the film.

In a move that sounds like an April Fools’ Day joke but isn’t, development has begun on a sequel to Sicario, and everyone keeps referring to it as Sicario 2. An interview at The Hollywood Reporter with Black Label Media producers Molly Smith and twins Thad and Trent Luckinbill (those are their real names, also not an April Fool’s Day joke) unearthed the nugget that the team behind Demolition has already started in on the project they call Sicario 2, continuing the long and bitter battle to secure the Mexican-American border from drug runners. And just as the so-called War on Drugs ran into perpetuity with no viable end in sight, so shall this unlikely hit about the tangled morals of international law continue for as long as the money stays green.
