The Arthur Ray Teague Parkway in Bossier City is back open to traffic.

Residents of The Haven are still battling flood waters.

Perhaps no area in the ArkLaTex has been hit harder by the Red River flood than the River Bluff neighborhood in north Bossier.

The Red River is now expected to crest above 37 feet in Shreveport, according to the National Weather Service's Advanced Hydrologic Prediction Service's latest observation as of 4PM today.

Despite the high water level on the Red River, local casinos seem to be faring pretty well.

National Guard troops worked around the clock to construct a backup wall under the Jimmie Davis Bridge as the wall already there was starting to leak. Shreveport Chief Administrative Office Brian Crawford sent us the video of the wall which is holding up.

Bossier Parish Sheriff Julian Whittington is working closely with all emergency agencies to protect homes in the path of high water.

It's rapid. It's loud. In fact, it's downright frightening. In case you haven't been near the Red River in the past week or so, perhaps you don't realize the ferocity and mercilessness of the speeding water.

Flood waters will be a problem in our region for several weeks.

The National Weather Service calls it an "Advanced Hydrologic Prediction", but to folks like you and me, it's a quick way to see - hour by hour - how high the river is, how much higher it will get and how long til the water starts to recede. In a word, it's amazing!

The National Weather Service has again adjusted the projected crest for the Red River in Shreveport.

Today, Governor Bobby Jindal authorized the activation of up to 200 Louisiana National Guardsmen on State Active Duty to support flood response efforts in Northwest Louisiana and assist local, parish and state emergency officials.
