State Fair of Louisiana

This Friday, November 11th is Veterans Day, but the State Fair of Louisiana will honor Veterans this Sunday, November 13th with a special parade down the midway starting at 2pm.

I made my annual pilgrimage to the State Fair of Louisiana over the weekend and gained 14 pounds just walking down the midway.

Because of all the rain we're seeing already this weekend, and what we're expecting tomorrow, the State Fair of Louisiana has revised its schedule.

The State Fair of Louisiana kicks off Thursday and will run through November 8th. The Fair will be closed on Mondays and Tuesdays. Hours will be 10am to 10pm. On Friday andSaturday the Fair will close at 11pm.
