Weird Laws

You've seen them and, being unaware of this law as I was, probably didn't even bat an eyelash. Although, you may have raised an eyebrow. They are blatant about it, almost intentionally trying to draw attention to their flagrant lawlessness.

Weird laws are always fun to talk about, especially in Louisiana, where we have a lot of them.

On crisp Louisiana winter mornings, it's a natural to want to warm up your vehicle before hitting the road. You might even have one of those fancy remotes that lets you start it from inside your house. After all, icy windows and freezing seats aren't anyone's idea of a comfortable commute. But, here's the twist - according to the law, warming up your car in your own driveway is considered illegal in the Pelican State.

You literally couldn't make this stuff up if you tried.

You would think that biting someone with false teeth would be a lesser crime than biting someone with real teeth, but that's not how the law works in Louisiana!
