Tax Officials Seize A Family’s Dog Then Sell It On EBay

Can you imagine owning so much in back taxes, that the authorities take your dog?

There's a family in Ahlen, Germany that apparently owed quite a bit in back taxes. So the authorities showed up at their house to seize their valuables.

One of the many items taken from the family was their dog because Germany has a "dog tax," which they hadn't paid.

It even gets worse folks.  To recoup some of the money from the back taxes they sold the pooch on eBay for $850!  You heard me right, eBay, at only about half of what purebred pugs commonly sell for.

And if you still think it couldn't get any worse, the pug has needed 4 surgeries since the new owner bought it and now they are suing the tax officials for falsely advertising that the dog had a clean bill of health.
