Thursday night's preseason game between the Houston Texans and the Dallas Cowboys has been canceled.

Hurricane Harvey has caused massive damage and destruction to America's fourth largest city. In recent days, the city of Houston and surrounding areas have seen unprecedented flooding.

The game was set to be played Thursday evening at AT&T stadium in Arlington, Texas. This morning players from the Houston Texans received some good news.  They are able to return home. Considering this latest development, the NFL made the decision to cancel the game between the Texans and the Cowboys to give players time with their families.

The game between the Texans and the Cowboys was not the only game in jeopardy of being cancelled this week. There has been talk that the New Orleans Saints and Baltimore Ravens preseason game also set for Thursday night, would also be canceled because of its location in New Orleans in the Superdome. However, the Saints organization has officially announced that the preseason game against the Ravens will be played as scheduled.
