We've all been watching TV when one of those "feed the starving children" commercials are aired. Most of us turn away, change the channel, or just simply ignore it.

Why?

Perhaps it is because we are so disconnected from the way people exist in developing countries. From our porcelain and linoleum covered cul-de-sacs, we can't even imagine a place where clean water, medicine, and a constant supply of food are luxuries. An interactive exhibit called "The Compassion Experience" is hoping to change all of that, and it's coming to Bossier City.

According to their website:

This free event features an interactive journey through the true stories of children living in developing countries like the Philippines, Kenya, Uganda and the Dominican Republic.

In over 2,000 square feet of interactive exhibit space, visitors will step inside homes, markets and schools — without getting on a plane. Each child's story starts in poverty but ends in hope.

Imagine actually walking inside one of these homes and seeing, touching, and feeling what these people endure every day just to survive. You can with "The Compassion Experience."

The event will be held at First Bossier located at 2810 E Texas St. in Bossier City. It is FREE and family friendly, and will be on site the following times:

FRI Apr 28 - 11:00 am - 6:40 pm
SAT Apr 29 - 11:00 am - 6:40 pm
SUN Apr 30 - 9:00 am - 5:40 pm
MON May 1 - 11:00 am - 6:40 pm
