The annual El Dorado music event, MusicFest, has exploded into a nationally recognized event this year...for some interesting reasons.

This will be the 30th anniversary for the Ark-La-Tex event, which has now become a part of El Dorado's Murphy Arts District, is preparing a lineup that includes ZZ Top, Brad Paisley, Migos, X-Ambassadors, Ludacris, Natasha Bedingfield, Train, Smokey Robinson, Lyle Lovett, and more.

Plus, let's not forget, El Dorado is a city of under 20,000. The event is planning to use multiple venues across the city to accommodate the performances, and according to the El Dorado News-Times, some of the events are supposed to be free and open to the public.

I'm sorry, but I still can't get past the fact that Migos and Lyle Lovett are performing at the same music festival.

The odd combos are generating national attention too. Mashable was caught off-guard by the weird collaboration possibilities in this $100+ million lineup. While other national headlines seem to be left scratching their heads as well.
