This seems unprecidented.   I lived in Dallas in 2003 and I believe we had more than 100 days in a row that the temperature was over 100.  It's so memorable because in Dallas when the temperature is that high its public transit system initiates "Ozone Action Day."  I lived downtown and could take the train on those days for FREE to my job.  It was great.  I lived right by a train station and worked near one.  Even though gas wasn't nearly as high as it is now, it was still nice to not have to drive in big city traffic to and from work, and it was FREE!   CNN has an insightful article about a near tragedy that I believe is interesting.  So, I am sharing.
