The National have celebrated this Thanksgiving by covering a song from the holiday episode of Bob's Burgers. The track, "Give It To Teddy," is the latest in a series of collaborations between the band and the Fox cartoon. You can hear the National's take on the song above, and a clip from the episode below.

The episode, "Thanks-Hoarding," aired over the weekend, with the tune sung by the show's matriarch, Linda. It revolves around the Belchers reluctantly pitching in to help Teddy prepare after his family unexpectedly decides to visit for Thanksgiving. But the task turns out to be more challenging than anticipated when they discover Teddy is a hoarder. The National's version is, as always, more melancholy, and offers a solid message about one man's trash being another's treasure.

The band has previously recorded covers of the show's Thanksgiving and Christmas episodes beginning in 2012 — with a cover of the 2015 Turkey Day tune called "Thanksgiving for Everybody (Except the Europeans)" canceled following the terrorist attack in Paris — as well as songs like "Bad Stuff Happens in the Bathroom," and they've appeared as animated Bob's Burgers characters in videos. Frontman Matt Berninger's side project El Vy appeared as special guests at a live Bob's Burgers event in Los Angeles this year, where they and cast members performed songs from the show's soundtrack, on which they appear alongside artists like St. Vincent and Magnetic Fields' Stephen Merritt.

The National is currently touring behind their recently released seventh album Sleep Well Beast.
