So my Grandmother and Grandfather, on my Mom's side, are still alive and kicking and in their mid-90s.  It is so cool that I have been able to enjoy them through my life. What is great is my son has been able to talk to my Grandfather on the phone (sadly, my Grandmother is not able to communicate very well any more.) But to hear my son tell his Great Grandpa about the things he enjoys with such enthusiasm, bring a smile to my face.

When my son is done occupying the phone (in the way only a 4-year old can), my Grandfather starts asking a lot of question about the baby. He is so excited to have another Great Grandchild. I certainly hope I can introduce my wife and the kids while he is still with us. He is a strong man, so I have a lot of hope for that to happen.

And even though my Grandmother can't communicate very well, she is well aware of what she sees.  Having her see my family and my pride in them, I look forward to her smile.

I do wish I could have been able to introduce my family to my Grandparents on my Dad's side. Unfortunately, they were taken away from us, when I was much younger, however,  I do have some awesome stories to pass along from them and about them. They are looking down from Heaven and watching over my family and smiling, I am sure.
