The New Orleans Pelicans‘ NBA Playoff run has come to an end.

The Pelicans showed some fight early on,as they ended the first quarter down only 6, and by half time they cut that distance to 3 points as they headed into halftime 59-56.

Again late in the fourth quarter, after being down by as much as 23, they stormed back to cut the lead down to 7 with just over 2 minutes left. But the Golden State Warriors’ third-quarter surge was too much to overcome in a 113-104 triumph at Oracle Arena on Tuesday night, claiming a 4-1 victory in the NBA Western Conference semifinals.

Pelicans star Anthony Davis did everything he could, scoring 34 points and pulling down 19 rebounds, but he got virtually no help from the bench, and was joined by a starting lineup that struggled to find the mark. E'Twaun Moore scored 10 points, but went 4 for 12 from the floor. Jrue Holiday made his presence known with a triple-double, putting in 27 points, 11 assists, and 10 rebounds.

Golden State will advance to the Western Conference finals for the fourth consecutive year to face the top-seeded Houston Rockets.
