Thunderstorm Warning for Part of Arklatex Expires but Nasty Weather Is Still Possible
UPDATE:
Severe thunderstorm warning expires, but we do have a chance to see some nasty weather.
The National Weather Service in Shreveport has issued a severe thunderstorm warning for our region of the state.
The warning covers western Bienville Parish, southeastern Bossier Parish and southeastern Webster Parish until 5:30 p.m.
Just before 4:45 p.m., a severe thunderstorm was located just northwest of Heflin, or just south of Dubberly, moving south-southwest at 20 miles per hour, and packing hazardous 60 miles-per-hour wind gusts.
The NWS is saying the wind could cause damage to roofs, siding and trees. Impacted areas include Minden, Ringgold, Sibley, Dubberly, and Lake Bistineau.
