Overnight storms have left two people dead in Lincoln Parish. Ruston Mayor Ronny Walker tells KEEL News 2 people have been killed as a result of the storm.

Walker posted this on Facebook this morning:

We ask that you please stay off the roads, as there are several power lines down throughout Ruston. Half of Ruston is without electricity. Our crews are working as fast as they can to restore the electrical grid and clear debris. Please continue to exercise caution. The City of Ruston has been severely hit by the recent storm. Please take caution and do not drive around City unless absolutely necessary. Stay away from down power lines and trees. Most of the City is without power.

There are reports of other injuries, but no details on that yet as emergency crews are still responding to reports of damage and destruction. Widespread power outages are also reported across Lincoln Parish.

Here's video posted by the Sheriff's office:

Cleanup efforts are expected to continue all day today. Louisiana Tech is closed today because of the damage. KEEL News has learned the baseball field "the Love Shack" suffered heavy damage.
