University of Louisiana-Monroe Offensive Coordinator Rich Rodriguez has had a pretty eclectic coaching career. He pioneered an innovative offensive idea at Glenville State, winning an NAIA Division 1 Championship. Then he took West Virginia to 6 straight Bowl Games, including two BCS Bowl games. He also turn West Virginia into a national powerhouse for a few years, gaining rankings as high as #1 in the nation in the Coaches Poll.

After the heights of his career, he moved on to University of Michigan, the winningest program in the history of college football. However, that experiment didn't work out too well. He was able to eventually get the team to one Bowl Game in three seasons (the Gator Bowl in 2010), but only had a 15-22 record in those three years. Once issues arose within the program from players and NCAA officials, Michigan cut Rich Rod loose.

Then he found some success at Arizona, getting them to 5 Bowl Games in 6 seasons, but ended up parting ways with the school in 2017.

Now Rodriguez is taking up residency in Monroe, Louisiana. Running the offense for new Warhawks Head Coach Terry Bowden.

But that's not why we're here. We're here because of aliens. Or more importantly, Rich Rod's take on aliens, and what he would end up doing to them if they landed in his backyard.

First, check out this video, then we'll break it down...

If you skipped the video, let me catch you up. Rich Rod knows aliens are out there (he's not wrong). He thinks there's a chance the new Mars chopper drone might catch a glimpse. In another moment of clarity, Rich Rod admits that the Government will obviously keep that kind of thing from us. But then we get to the fun part.

In the video, Rich Rod reaches for his "truth juice" (he doesn't call it that, its just funny that he takes a drink right before he starts going in hard) and turns the attention to his Byrna gun. Which is honestly where the fun beings.

Rich Rod explains his Byrna gun, which is a non-lethal self defense weapon, as a gun that shoots "gas pellets", which is pretty close to what it is. But not all of their projectiles are loaded with "gas", they have pepper spray, kinetic projectiles, and inert projectiles. But Rich Rod is clearly talking about the pepper spray ones.

He then explains that if aliens landed in his backyard, he'd shoot one with his pepper spray gun, "wrap him up", and take him to "NASA" or government officials.

This is one of the greatest coaches conversations ever. OF ALL TIME. Thank you Rich Rod.
