Another month, another WalletHub survey shining a negative light on the state of Louisiana.

This week, I received an email from WalletHub alerting me of their findings. For Women's History Month, they decided to find the best and worst states for women. To reach their conclusions, WalletHub compared the 50 states and the District of Columbia across 24 key metrics.

These metrics included unemployment rate for women, share of women in poverty, female life expectancy, share of women-owned businesses, among others.

After average the findings from all 24 metrics, WalletHub concluded that Louisiana came in dead last... 51st. Even behind the District of Columbia.
