Warm Up with the Coziest Restaurant in Louisiana
A warm place to enjoy some delicious food sounds about perfect right now.
Is it just me or does it feel significantly colder right now than it did during the holidays? Despite the cold, I'm doing my best to maintain a social life. For that, I turn to cozy restaurants that make it feel like I never braved the cold or left my home.
Recently, Food and Wine created a list of the Coziest Restaurant in Every State. These restaurants lend themselves to this idea of coziest with their quite atmosphere and soft lighting. Some even feature a fireplace which is basically my sixth love language.
For Louisiana, they chose the Bar at the Columns Hotel.
If you've been to this hotel in New Orleans, you've likely seen it in the film 12 Years a Slave. It was originally a private residence which totally adds to its home-like feel. The Victorian Lounge features 12-foot mahogany doors and 15-foot ceilings. It's immaculate Southern charm.
