Warrior Horse is a new program in our area headed up by Kevin and Teresa Russell from Frierson, LA. The program will not only help veterans with PTSD, it will rehabilitate off track/retired thoroughbreds. The therapy helps all involved. They unveiled the new mural this Monday morning, July 4th, 2016 at Greenacres Middle School and the event served as an unofficial kickoff to the program! In case you're wondering, the mural was painted by local artist Chris Opp and we think he did a fantastic job!

The video above showcases officials from Greenacres Middle and board members tied to the program talking about Warrior Horse, which will is in fundraising mode now and hopes to start helping the first group of veterans in our area within 18 months.
