I can't be the only one. In fact, I know I'm not, because I interact with a lot of other people who are guilty of this too. What I'm I talking about?

How many people do you know who speak in "movie quote"?

I could probably carry an entire conversation using quotes from my favorite movies. Which is either really impress, or terrifying. But I think there are some good reasons why this is a thing.

Using movie quotes in conversation can establish a couple things: 1. you know the other person has seen, or is a fan of what you're talking about, so you know something about them 2. the context the phrased is used in a movie can represent a feeling about a situation 3. it can be like a code, where others might not know exactly what you and a friend are talking about.

With all of that being said, this time of year gets a lot of people who don't normally speak "movie quote" to pick up the habit.

Christmas movies, and actually other holiday movies like "8 Crazy Nights" (which I quote throughout the year), will be quoted all month long by various people. Even those who don't normally participate in the practice will start quoting movies like "Elf", "National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation", "Die Hard", "A Christmas Story", and others.

So I was curious today, which quote gets used the most?

I'm sure mine won't match yours, and honestly, I'm not even sure what one I use the most. I wouldn't be shocked if its Hans Gruber's "HoHoHo" or if it's an "Elf" quote. But I wanted to get an idea of what's going on out there, so here's the poll for voting:
