Where in the World are We Going Shreveport-Bossier?

I'm endlessly fascinated by the human condition and how we relate to the world and others around us. I also have an active imagination. Some might think I live with my head in the clouds, but I say you should join me... it's fun up here!

With that being said, I do a lot of daydreaming. I'm curious by nature. So, I polled my social media friends with the question, 'We’re playing hooky from work tomorrow... where are we going? Travel and money are of no consequence... Lunch at the Eiffel Tower? A gondola ride in Venice? Toes in the sand in St. Lucia?'

The answers spanned a wide range. People that I know to be more literal gave answers like 'sleep' and 'going to Coushatta with a Moon Pie, Cheetos and a Barques.' One friend told me over the phone after seeing the question that she didn't think you could do much only playing hooky from work for one day!

Others really got into the spirit of the question and let their imagination run wild. There were a lot beaches and mountain hideaways with no cell service or internet available that came up! No surprise there considering what we've been dealing with so far in 2020. I think we could all do with an escape from reality. Me? Especially after hearing the news today that some states are increasing restrictions to mitigate the spread of coronavirus... a weekend retreat to spend quiet time reconnecting and rebalancing myself through meditation and prayer.
