Where to Find the Best Restaurant Patio in Louisiana
Here's where to dine outside once the weather gets its act together.
Before you know it, the weather will consistently be nice. We'll be looking for every excuse in the book to be outside. After all, what's better than beautiful weather, a delicious meal and a refreshing drink?
Recently Cheapism created a list of The 30 Best Restaurant Patios in America. This list includes places overlooking bodies of water, open-air venues in the middle of cities, and the occasional rooftop setting. While this list is based purely on opinion, it's nice to know that Louisiana made the list twice.
Cafe Amelie and Cafe Du Monde both landed on this list of 30.
Cafe Amelie is an old French Quarter carriage house with stunning courtyard patio. Dining near the fountains will make you feel like you're in another county. Cafe Du Monde may be a little more difficult to get into. It's a very popular place in the Big Easy with long lines, but is certainly worth the wait with a covered outdoor area nestled between the Mississippi River and Jackson Square.
