Police in Baton Rouge say a 25-year-old woman who was receiving medical attention outside of Tiger Stadium is facing charges after it was alleged she attacked an officer who was standing by as medical crews administered treatment.

Alix Cross of Hartsdale, New York reportedly became belligerent and stood up from the stretcher on which she was being treated and shoved the officer. The officer put Cross on the ground and arrested her. She was arrested on suspicion of battery of an officer.

Officers were originally called to the scene after a disturbance the medical trailer outside Tiger Stadium was reported. Upon arriving at the scene that's where officers engaged Cross and the incident allegedly occurred.

As of Sunday morning Cross was still incarcerated in the East Baton Rouge Parish Jail. There were no injuries reported to medical or law enforcement personnel.
