Woman Kills Her Boyfriend Trying to Get YouTube Views
There is such thing as being YouTube famous. With so many people trying to be YouTube famous, YouTubers have to consistently come up with new and exciting videos. Unfortunately for one couple, their daring video resulted in a horrid death. Monalisa Perez, 19, was convinced by her boyfriend Pedro Ruiz III, 22, to shoot a book pressed to his chest with a .50 caliber handgun. Ruiz had tweeted on Monday night, "Me and Pedro are probably going to shoot one of the most dangerous videos ever. HIS idea not MINE," she was referring to the deadly stunt. Ruiz and Perez wanted more views on their YouTube channel. According to Perez, her boyfriend had shown her a book he had shot and showed her that the bullet hadn't gone through. Ruiz put a book to his chest and Monalisa Perez shot the book from a foot away. The bullet went through the book striking Ruiz dead. According to the arrest report pregnant Perez called 911 and said she had accidentally shot her boyfriend while making a video.
Monalisa Perez has been charged with manslaughter and faces up to 10 years in prison and 20,000 fine if she is convicted."I don't know why they thought the book was supposed to stop the bullet." said Perez' aunt. The video of the indecent is being used as evidence. Perez is set to appear in court on July 5th. Monalisa Perez and Pedro Ruiz III had one child and were expecting their second.
