Worker Killed in Texarkana Construction Accident

Texarkana Texas police say a 61-year-old construction crew worker was killed today after he was struck by a backhoe attachment on a work site.

Police were called to the 3000 block of Moores Lane to a report that Jose Andrade was trapped between a backhoe and the tractor it was attached to.

An initial investigation showed that Andrade was standing behind the tractor, when the backhoe swung around and struck him. He was killed instantly.
