Anne Moore’s Pet of the Week

Recently I was asked to help in the rescue of a poodle from the Caddo Animal Shelter. I was happy that I could help. The poodle is on its way to Houston where it will be rehabilitated and then put up for adoption.

Let me tell you that was the saddest looking little poodle I have ever set eyes on.  While I was at the animal shelter I met Pepper Jack. He is an Australian Shepherd mixed breed almost 2 years old.

Let me explain I own a mini Aussie so when I saw Pepper Jack sitting in his fenced cage my heart just broke for him, because if you know anything about Australian Shepherd's you realize that being stuck in a small enclosure must be intolerable for him.

If ever there was a dog put on the face of this earth to play frisbee with, it is the Australian Shepherd! They are built to run and jump. These are highly intelligent dogs that crave physical exercise.

So if you are looking for a pet companion and you live an active lifestyle where you can take a dog jogging or to play frisbee please think about accepting Pepper Jack into your life.
