The first Bossier City Makers Fair of the year is Saturday, March 4th at the Louisiana Boardwalk. The hours for the event are 11 am - 6 pm. The Bossier Makers Fair is touted as having the largest 'gathering of handmade goods' in the Ark-La-Tex, so if you're thinking of going ahead and knocking out some shopping in a safe, open-air environment, this is your chance.

Whenever I go to one of these events I find something unique for my home. I love art, I'm just not good at making it, but I sure do appreciate it! Plus, I love our community and want to support our local artisans, no matter their format, as much as possible.

Organizer Chris Graham from Instagraham Events promises this will be a family-friendly event with '130+ handmade makers, artists, homemade entrepreneurs, crafters, food trucks, kid's activities and more.' What's best is that you can take the kids for the afternoon if you're watching your wallet because admission and parking are free. They'll even have live music and they're leashed pet friendly!

So grab your family and friends and head to the Louisiana Boardwalk. I'm sure you'll see me melting my credit card somewhere along the way! Visit the Bossier City Makers Fair event page on Facebook or their website to find out more.
