BREAKING: Officer Wounded in Shreveport Shooting

A Shreveport Police Officer has been shot and wounded. While details are limited, what we do know is that a 52 year old officer was shot at Springridge Apartments on W Bert Kouns around 11:40 this morning. The officer has been transported to Ochsner LSU Health for treatment. While there has been confirmation on the officer's condition, it is being reported that the officer's protective gear reduced his wounds.

No details about the suspect or their condition has come out as of yet. It's being reported the officer was at the complex serving a warrant at the time of the shooting.
