Bus Hits Flooded Waters; Students Escape Out Back Door

It was a scary moment for students in Vermilion Parish who were leaving school early because of the stormy weather.

As the bus carrying students from Kaplan Elementary was traveling, it encountered high water and crashed into a flooded ditch, according to our news partners at KATC. With the front of the bus in the water, the students had to escape out of the back door.

Fortunately, there were no injuries and the students were taken home on another bus.
