Celebrate Mardi Gras With the Shreveport Mudbugs

It's finally here, Mardi Gras weekend with the Shreveport Mudbugs!

Let's face it, 2021 has been quite the downer so far. It feels more like 2020 2.0 at this point, and Mardi Gras has all-but-been cancelled in our neck of the woods this season. Yet, many businesses are doing their part to let the good times roll nonetheless.

One of those businesses is the Shreveport Mudbugs organization. Even though our parades and bals have been cancelled this year, the Mudbugs weren't going to let that get in the way of one of their most popular theme weekends of the season.

It's Mardi Gras weekend at George's Pond this Friday and Saturday night. The Mudbugs are taking on the Amarillo Bulls. This weekend's action comes just a week after the 'Bugs travelled to Amarillo to play the Bulls, where they split the series/

The entertainment and environment tonight and tomorrow night will be all about Mardi Gras. They'll have Mardi Gras giveaways and Mardi Gras-themed games with fans. They'll even be bringing back their ultra-popular intermission parades. Heck, just a few weeks ago I was under the impression we wouldn't have any Mardi Gras parades in town this year, yet here we are, with a handful of parades right inside George's Pond all weekend long.
