A stop for major national music acts in Tyler, Texas has announced they will be closing its doors. Clicks Live in Tyler posted online that they will be ending operations after January 12th. Here's their post from Facebook:

"Due to circumstances not under our control, it is with a saddened heart that we are having to announce the end of Clicks Live. This Clicks location has been a part of Tyler since 1993. We would like to thank everyone that has been a part of this journey. From the customers who have become our family, to all the performers that have come and played on our stage, all of you guys that played on the tiny stages we had before renovating to our amazing stage we have now, to our loyal pool players, to all the 21 year olds that decided to celebrate such a monumental day of your lifetime with us, to all of you that chose us as a place to propose to your significant other, to all of our regulars that have been with us since 1993 and even before it was Clicks when it was Speeds, to everyone that has come in and checked us out and gave us a chance we thank you. We couldn’t have made it this long without you. Our last day, unfortunately, will be next Sunday, January 12. So if you love us as much as we love you, please try to make it in to see us one last time. Share your stories and memories that you have experienced here. On Sunday, the 12th we are planning a jam session so that anyone that would like to come play on our stage one more time is more than welcome. To end on a good note, let’s PARTY this week! And go out with a BANG! Again, thank you so much to everyone for your support all these years. Thank you to all the staff as well. This place wouldn’t be Clicks Live without you guys. We are going to miss you all, but we hope to see you all this week!"

They followed up this morning with this post to the same Facebook page:

"I have read so many of your heart warming posts and comments regarding the closing of our store. Yes, OUR store. Clicks has succeeded for all these years due our family of staff and people that support us. I didn't say 'customers' because you are more than that. You, are part of our family. Believe me when I say that we are as heart broken as you. The pain is real.

Unlike other businesses that have closed, and not told their employees until the day the doors were locked, Kim had a full staff meeting and broke the news Sat night. We have offered severance packages, and transfer to other Clicks locations if available to move. We love our staff and don't want to lose anyone!!!

It hurts that the landlord just 'decides' to not renew our lease after 26+ years, forcing us out. It is a business, and they have the right to do this. It is their building. We are just 'renters'. I don't know their reasons, we have always paid our rent. But at this point, it doesn't matter. They want us out. So we have to close.

Some of you have asked "Why not just move/transfer to a new location?" The cost of this is roughly the same as building a brand new facility. Most of the cost is associated with this is finishing out the space. This is flooring, restrooms, bar, office, kitchen, ceiling, patio, walls, ect... The money to do this is simply not there.

Thank you for your continued love and support. You will be greatly missed.

Sincerely,
Jim Cox, District Manager"
