Comedian Blames Shreveport for His Racist Comments
You may remember David Cross from "Arrested Development", "Alvin and the Chipmunks" or maybe even "Year One". Cross is an American stand up comedian who was called out by Charlyne Yi for being a racist.
Charlyne Yi is a comedian who has been in "Knocked Up", "This Is 40", and "House". Yi took to Twitter to accuse Cross of insulting her several times when they met in Shreveport at a hotel bar ten years ago. Yi went on to say that Cross said "ching-chong ching-chong" to her and insulted her clothes. Cross first responded via Twitter claiming he didn't remember the situation at all. Later on he posted a long winded response on Twitter to defend himself and said he was playing a "a-hole racist redneck character" and it was just his character saying "welcome to Shreveport". So, according to David Cross, Shreveport residents are "a-hole racist" rednecks? Really? Does Hollywood have a legitimate reason to think so? If so why? Why not? Let us know in the comments below.
