Louisiana now has more than 6,000 students testing positive for COVID-19 and more than 800 school staffers have tested positive.

In Region 7 in northwest Louisiana, Bossier Parish is reporting the highest number of students testing positive with 148 student cases and 17 cases among staffers. DeSoto Parish which led this region with the number of student cases last week is now at number 2 with 139 student cases and 6 staff cases.

Here are the Parishes with the highest number of student cases in the state:

Here's the data from Region 7 of the Office of Public Health in Northwest Louisiana:

Bienville Parish has 1 to 4 cases reported among faculty, staff and volunteers and 20 student cases.

Bossier Parish has the highest number in Region 7 with 148 student cases and 17 cases among staffers.

Caddo Parish just started school Monday and has not reported student numbers yet.

Claiborne Parish has 1-4 cases among staff and 25 student cases.

DeSoto Parish has the highest numbers last week but is now at number 2 in the region with 6 cases among staff and 139 student cases.

Natchitoches Parish is now reporting 8 student cases and 1-4 cases among staff.

In Red River Parish 1 to 4 cases are reported among staff and 8 students.

Sabine Parish is reporting 1-4 cases among staff and 36 student cases.

Webster Parishes is not reporting any cases.
