America's votes for the popular reality music TV show "The Voice" have been counted and tonight's special one-hour broadcast gave us those results. Shreveport's own Dez Duron was among those that advanced into the Top 12 to continue to the next competition on Monday.

America chose to advance Amanda Brown and Bryan Keith for Team Adam, leaving Adam with a difficult choice for third spot between Loren Allred, Jocelyn Rivera and Melanie Martinez.

Adam stopped a roaring crowd to address each remaining contestant on his team individually before announcing his pick for advancement to the next round. He praised each one for their individual strengths for them to take away from the contest.

In the end, he could only choose one contestant. That was Melanie Martinez. Adam told her that she was "just so unique, and I just love that about you."

Jocelyn Rivera spoke to all the previous contestants and the coaches about her time on the show and thanked everyone for the opportunity. She offered everyone some words of encouragement reminding them that "you don't have to win to be a winner."

Adam Levine and Maroon 5 took the stage next with a guest performance of their new hit single "Daylight," just before the next set of eliminations.

Team Blake was up next. America voted to move Scottish contestant Terry McDermott and Cassadee Pope forward, leaving Liz Davis, Julio Cesar Castillo and Michaela Paige to sweat out Coach Blake's decision.

He congratulated them all and stressed to Terry and Cassadee what an honor their selection by America's votes meant. He went on to say that the remaining three contestants could easily move forward and still win the contest, but that since he could only pick one he had to go with his heart and choose Michaela.

Season 2 winner Jermaine Paul took the stage with his new hit single. His new album will hit the shelves just in time for the Christmas holiday on December 18, 2012.

Trevin Hunte and Nicholas David were the voted favorites selected through to the next round, leaving CeeLo to choose between MacKenzie Bourg, Diego Val and Arkansas' own Cody Belew.

CeeLo reminded the remaining contestants that he would still be there for them and had nothing but respect for them. The final choice for CeeLo advanced Cody Belew into the final round, with the coach stating that he had improved the most during the show.

Dez Duron took America's top votes for Team XTina, along with Sylvia Yacoub. Coach Christina was left with De'borah, Devyn DeLoera and Adrianna Louise. As Christina spoke to her three remaining contestants, she opted to speak to them as a whole rather than individually.

"Never ever let anyone's opinion of you define who you are," said Aguilera. "Look beyond the show, and remember this is just the beginning."

The final choice for Team XTina was made because Coach Christina claimed that the person going on to the Top 12 has not been able to showcase her full potential and the contestant's best is yet to come.

Christina advanced Adrianna Louise into the Top 12, leaving her in shock. Gentlemanly teammate Dez Duron escorted her off the stage with Sylvia Yacoub.

Dez's progress has been phenomenal on "The Voice" this season, and his fans continue to support him as he enters the final round.
