Despite the forecast, horse lovers will be horsing around this weekend at Double Rainbow Equestrian Center in Haughton for the first North Louisiana Equestrian Association club show of 2018.

No, I won't be competing this weekend, but I'll definitely be cheering on my fellow horse crazy friends as they show off the new skills they worked on over the winter in front of one of my favorite judges, Robert Allison.

This weekend's event being held at Double Rainbow in Haughton will take place Friday and Saturday, February 23-24, 2018, so don't worry about any possible rain... sure, you'll want to wear your boots if you plan to come out, but there's plenty of room to get in out of the rain at their huge covered arena. Jumpers will compete Friday starting at 5:30pm and hunter classes will take place Saturday starting at 8:30am with the walk/trot division.

If you've got a child who's got the horse bug, this is a great chance to get out and meet area horse people and see some gorgeous horses and ponies up close and personal.
