Drew Brees Restructures Contract To Help Create More Cap Space For The Saints
Drew Brees is the ultimate team player and his latest move with the Saints will free up some cap space for the team.
It's no secret that Drew's time in the league is limited and according to Tom Pelissero of NFL Media, Brees has restructured his deal.
Brees' contract for 2019 has him pulling in $11.05 million with a roster bonus of $11.95 million. This means $10.8 million of his $33.5 million will be pushed into 2020.
The Saints (and their fans) are hoping to lock down top free agent tight end Jared Cook, backup QB Teddy Bridgewater, and pass rusher Ziggy Ansah.
After letting Mark Ingram slip away to Baltimore, let's hope we can get it done.
