Read All of the Names of Early Voters in Caddo Parish
Early voting is a wrap across Louisiana and now we wait for election day on Tuesday, November 8. The polls open on that day at 6am and close at 8pm.
The numbers from the Secretary of State's Office show nearly 18,000 people voted early or by mail in Caddo Parish.
Caddo Clerk of Court Mike Spence says this exceeds the numbers from the municipal election from four years ago and he is now bumping up his prediction for voter turnout from 25% to 40%.
You can now take a look at all the names of folks who have voted early and there are some names on the list that won't surprise you. Here are some of the names of folks who have voted early:
KEEL News has found that Mayor Adrian Perkins, Caddo Commissioner Mario Chavez and Attorney Tom Arceneaux have already voted in the election.
We pretty much know who those 3 men voted for. We did not find State Senator Greg Tarver's name on the list of early voters. We also did not see Shreveport Councilwoman LeVette Fuller's name on the list of early voters.
Spence tells KEEL News he initially thought the turnout would be 25% for this election, but he now believes the turnout will be about 40%. He hopes to have the votes counted by 10:30pm Tuesday night.
