Erin Gives Bad Marital Advice

I have a friend who loaned me her SUV to haul something for a project I was working on. While I had her Mom-Mobile, she had to use her hubby's vehicle. Check out what happened:

She rarely drives his fancy convertible sports car which is not automatic. Did I tell you that this car is like his baby? Next to his wife and kid, he loves this car. Well she never got out of the driveway....backed it into a pole scratching the driver's side. She did not tell me about it until the next day, a full 24 hours later. She asked me if she should tell him!! I said "you haven't told him yet?" She said "no" and he had not noticed the scratch yet. In hindsight, I am sure he noticed it, but was waiting for her to fess up. Here's what I told her: "if I was in the last few years of my marriage, I would not tell him", but if all is good with the marriage you should tell him." Well he figured it all out and realized she was the culprit. But now she can blame it on me....and tell him I told her not to tell. He might not like me for awhile, but we'll be ok. Lesson learned....always fess up!! They will figure it out!
