Family Dollar Store Employee Charged with Burglary

An employee of a local dollar store is in hot water today. The worker faces a burglary charge after police were called to check out a break in at the Jewella Avenue store on Sunday night.

When employees of the Family Dollar store in the 7100 block of Jewella Avenue showed up to open the business Monday morning, they found a safe open and everything inside the safe is gone.

Video from the store shows two individuals entering the business late Sunday night. They apparently used a key to get into the store. 25 year old Jordan Atkins an employee of the store faces a charge of simple burglary.
