FEMA To Issue COVID-19 Funeral Reimbursement Program

Believe it or not, next month FEMA will begin reimbursing funeral costs of COVID-19 victims. The financial toll of the pandemic has been catastrophic to the American and overall global economy, as so many are out of work and struggling to pay their bills. The death toll has and continues to be epic as well over a half million people have died senselessly from the disease. When you add the devastating loss of family and friends with medical and funeral costs, people are emotionally drained and drowning in debt.

However, there appears to be light at the end of the tunnel. Acting FEMA Administrator Bob Fenton made the funeral reimbursement announcement at a hearing with the House Appropriations Homeland Security Subcommittee this week. Fenton explained there will be no online registration, as people will be able to apply for assistance via phone.
