CS Ross a Hydrologist with the National Weather Service tells us they are keeping a close eye on Wallace Lake, Caddo Lake, and the Red River. But other areas could see waters continue to rise.

Wallace Lake is expected to crest at 156 feet. Flood stage is 151 feet. It hit 160.27 feet back in 2016.

Ross says minor flooding has developed along the Red River which is expected to crest at 28.5 feet this weekend. Flood stage is 30 feet on the Red at Shreveport.

There are also concerns about Red Chute Bayou.

Bayou Dorcheat at Lake Bisteneau is at 143.5. Flood stage is 142.5. Back on March 13, 2016, it climbed to 150.16 feet causing serious flooding.

Local officials held a briefing about the flooding concerns today to get an update from the National Weather Service and other experts.
