Shreveport Mudbugs General Manager Scott Muscutt talks with Robert J Wright and Erin McCarty about George's Pond at Hirsch Coliseum being named one of four finalists in the Kraft Hockeyville nationwide competition.

The Hockeyville promotion from Kraft Foods, is an annual "competition" among hockey rinks across the USA, with the winning arena winning $150,000 in building renovations and upgrades. The 65-year-old Hirsch is joined in this year's final four by facilities in Brandon, South Dakota, Clinton, New York and Middlebury, Vermont.

Muscutt tells us the origin of the name "George's Pond", which became the official name of the team's home ice when they were reincarnated as a member of the North American Hockey League in 2016. Muscutt, who's been associated with Mudbugs hockey since 1997, his first year as a player, also gives details about what folks across the ArkLaTex can do do help George's Pond grab the $150,000 first prize.
