It's been a fun season for the Shreveport Mudbugs, but it's almost time to shift our focus to the post-season.

Before we can fully focus on the playoffs, our Mudbugs have some unfinished business with their biggest rivals, the Lonestar Brahmas. Coincidentally, while the Mudbugs have already clinched the top seed in the South Division, the Lonestar Brahmas will finish behind them with the second seed.

You can expect this weekend's final regular-season home games to be action-packed, despite both teams already clinching their spot in the playoffs. See, hockey is much different than sports like football. Typically, in the final game of the season, you'll see an NFL team that has already clinched the top seed potentially rest their star players. Hockey is different, a lot different.

With hockey, it's all about momentum and getting hot at just the right time. Obviously, the 'Bugs have been doing just that as of late, stacking up seven wins over their past eight games. You can bet that the Shreveport Mudbugs will find a way to step on the gas pedal even harder this weekend and use these games against their rivals as a springboard into the NAHL playoffs.

The Shreveport Mudbugs will wrap up their regular season at George's Pond this weekend, with home games both Friday night and Saturday night. Puck drops at 7:11 PM both nights.
