Gov. John Bel Edwards Staff Member Tests Positive For COVID-19, 2 Others Quarantined

The governor's office is reporting that a member of Gov. Edwards' team has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a story from our media partners at KATC, the Edwards staffer tested positive over the New Year's holiday. In addition to the positive test, two other members have been quarantined.

Two additional staff members who were deemed to have close contact with this person are quarantining, per guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and the Louisiana Department of Health.
