After having to take 2020 off, Shreveport's comic con, Geek'd Con, is back for 2021! The show's return will be August 13th-15th at the Shreveport Convention Center.

Before the pandemic, Geek'd Con had become one of the biggest pop culture events in the region. With guests like Michael Rooker, LeVar Burton, Elvira, Peter Mayhew, Chris Sarandon, and more.

For this year's Geek'd Con return, the lineup is crazy stacked. Including Alice Cooper, Jason Mewes, Peter Facinelli, Emily Swallow, and a ton more. You can see the lineup here.

Now that lineup has grown again, as the star of Rob Zombie's Halloween series, Scout Taylor Compton, has been added to the lineup. Scout played the iconic Laurie Strode in Rob Zombie's Halloween and Halloween II.

In addition to the Halloween franchise, Scout portrayed rock music legend Lita Ford in the film The Runaways, Fairy in the show Charmed, and Tiffany in 13 Going On 30.

Scout is probably best known as a modern day Scream Queen, having appeared in multiple horror films. In addition to her Halloween appearances, she has been in the horror films Wicked Little Things, Life Blood, April Fool's Day, Flight 750, Return To Sender, The Lurker, and more.

Tickets for Geek'd Con are on sale now. You can get Weekend Passes for just $35, and Day Passes for only $25. VIP tickets are available too. With those VIP packages, you get a Weekend Pass, free shirt, free reusable bag, VIP badge, and early access through the early hours VIP entrance. You can buy tickets here.

Comic Book Movie Stars Who Have Worked In Shreveport

We utilized IMDB's filming location database to help put this together. However there is one movie listed there that we didn't include. IMDB lists X-Men Origins: Wolverine on their Shreveport list, but we struggled to find citing for this. So we just left it off. Some of these stars weren't in comic book "movies" specifically. But we counted the Netflix Marvel shows, and MCU Disney+ shows as well.

History Of Geek'd Con Guests

Geek'd Con is Shreveport's biggest comic and pop culture event. Launching in 2015, the event quickly became one of the premiere comic con style events in the entire state of Louisiana.

A big part of that growth has been the celebrity guest lineups. Since the first show in 2015, the quality of guests attending Geek'd Con rivals any pop culture event of this size. From classic Star Wars stars to guests from the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Geek'd Con has welcomed the biggest names from multiple generations. Here's a look at the history of guests at Geek'd Con.
