Now that any HBO viewer can buy their own streaming package outside a cable subscription, one had to wonder what would become of Amazon Prime’s old deal to host some of the network’s best shows. Sadly, you may have only weeks to catch some of HBO’s best series like The Wire or Six Feet Under, which are leaving Amazon behind.

UPDATE: Amazon has reached out to clarify that the below titles “will not be leaving the service … The titles were mislabeled within the system and the deal has not expired.” Huzzah! Original article follows.

Vulture reports that the quiet expiration of HBO’s three-year deal with Amazon will culminate on May 21 with the sudden departure of a number of series, including True Blood, Deadwood, The Wire, Flight of the Conchords, The Sopranos, Six Feet Under, Eastbound & Down, and early seasons of Girls and Veep. They’ll still be available on HBO, of course (HBO didn’t have an HBO Now when the deal was first made), but will no longer appear as Amazon options.

Some miniseries have already disappeared in recent weeks, while Vulture notes that comedy favorites Curb Your Enthusiasm, Sex and the City and Entourage appear to be staying beyond the May 21 date. The original deal didn’t include major offerings like Game of Thrones or True Detective.

It’s understandable of HBO to consolidate its holdings, now that it has its own cord-cutting option, but should you want to catch up on old series through Amazon, now’s the time.
