If you need water, you can pick some up today. Trucks will be at several locations around town. This effort kicks off at noon today at these locations:

Byrd High School

Huntington High School

Southern Hills Elementary School

Youree Drive Middle School

Independence Stadium

Blanchard Town Hall

Caddo Deputies, Shreveport Police and Fire and the National Guard are among some of the crews helping to pass the water out. There is a limit of one case of water per car.

Shreveport Community Church will also distribute water beginning at 10am Tuesday morning. The church is at Buncombe and 70th.

Boil advisories are in effect in many communities in our area including Shreveport, Bossier City, Haughton, Blanchard, Benton, Natchitoches, Gibsland, Ringgold, North DeSoto and many others.

In Shreveport, crews have been working around the clock to restore water service. About 10,000 customers still have little or no water pressure. The hardest hit neighborhoods are Highland, Queensborough, and West Shreveport. Many of those areas have no water at all and it's been that way for more than a week.

Trucks loaded with cases of water arrived from other regions last night and the distribution will happen today. More deliveries of water are expected
