The company says it's a wiring problem that could cause the low beams to become inoperative and leave you in the dark. The recalls vehicles are: 2002 through 2004 model CR-Vs and 2003 model Pilots.

Honda says it will inspect and replace components of the headlight wiring system in these vehicles. The company says on its website that no crashes or injuries have been reported related to the headlight loss issue.

Owners will get notices in late April to take their vehicles to a dealer. But if you want to know sooner if your truck is covered by the recall, you can go online to www.recalls.honda.com or call Honda at 800-999-1009 and select option 4.

According to the Associated Press the wiring issue is that there is not enough slack in the wiring leading to the headlight switch and over time the wires can work loose.
