LA 3132 Eastbound Off Ramp to Linwood Closing This Wednesday
While I can only speculate, I'm guessing that the right politician took that rodeo ride we call LA 3132 in Shreveport and pulled whatever strings needed pulling to get some attention to that roadway.
If you weren't aware, starting today, Monday, August 17, as part of the ongoing signage replacement project on LA 3132, there will be intermittent lane closures in both directions at the LA 511 (70th Street) and US 171 (Mansfield Rd) interchanges in Shreveport.
And in another recent announcement from the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development, drivers are advised that beginning this Wednesday, August 19, the LA 3132 eastbound off-ramp to Linwood Avenue in Shreveport will be closed and will remain closed for a week until Wednesday, August 26, and is necessary for the removal and replacement of the roadway base and pavement on Linwood Avenue at its intersection with the LA 3132 off-ramp.
Drivers wanting to exit onto Linwood Ave. will be detoured to I-49. Appropriate detour signage will be in place.
